With limited on-campus housing choices, many Georgia Tech students opt for off-campus living.

At Rambler, we’re confident that our diverse floorplans, state-of-the-art amenities and optimal location perfectly cater to the off-campus housing requirements of Georgia Tech students. However, we also recognize the importance of exploring all available options so we’ve crafted this article to review another off-campus student apartment, University House (UHouse).

The Basics

Before jumping in, let’s look at an overview of UHouse as a whole.

Location

Just beyond the Fifth Street Bridge, you’ll find University House, or UHouse, nestled near the Publix Shopping Center on Spring Street. While it may involve a slightly longer stroll from campus compared to some other Spring Street student apartment options, it’s merely a five-minute walk to campus and an even shorter distance to Tech Square and the Scheller College of Business.

Similar to other student housing options, UHouse stands out with distinctive amenities not commonly found in traditional apartments near campus.

At UHouse, you’ll have access to a pool, a 24-hour gym, a TV room, a game room, a study lounge and a relaxing outdoor area.

Parking

For those bringing a car to school and in need of parking, UHouse provides a covered parking garage exclusively for residents. These spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and come with an additional monthly cost of $130. Spots are not reserved.

You can find a variety of floor plans at UHouse, ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom apartments, each fully furnished. UHouse does not allow pets.

At the time of publication in April 2024, rates for 2024 – 2025 at UHouse range from $1,199 to $1,739 per person, per month, depending on unit type. All rates are subject to change. Due to the tier system used by student housing apartments, most apartments raise rates throughout the lease-up season after a certain number of leases are signed.
