Finding the ideal place to live as a Georgia Tech student can be daunting and time-consuming. Whether you’re considering staying in an on-campus dorm or starting the apartment search for a space that meets all your needs, the abundance of housing options in Midtown can be overwhelming.

We are confident that Rambler offers a wide selection of floor plans, a plethora of luxury amenities, and a prime location that caters to all your housing requirements. Nevertheless, we understand the challenges of comparing different housing options. To simplify this process, we have put together a review of Whistler.

The Basics

Before we get into the details about Whistler, here are some quick facts and statistics to give you an idea of the community:

Location 

On the corner of Spring Street and Abercrombie Street, Whistler is about a 3-minute walk from East Campus and Tech Square. 

The 25-story building is also close to many popular Georgia Tech restaurants and bars, such as Moe’s Southwest Grill and Tiff’s Treats. 

Spring Street is a popular location for other student housing options as well. The Mark, Hub Atlanta, and Square on Fifth Apartments are all located on Spring Street, just a few minutes away from Whistler.

Whistler offers its residents several amenities including a rooftop infinity pool and hot tub, a fully-equipped fitness center that includes designated spin and yoga studios, both private and community study spaces, and an in-house coffee bar, Daydreamer.

Parking

Whistler offers both on- and off-site parking for Whistler residents. Off-site parking, located across the street from Whistler at the Centergy Parking Deck, is available at an additional cost of $160 per month. On-site garage parking will run residents more due to its convenience, starting at $325 per month at the time of publication. Whistler parking is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Pricing and Floor Plans 

Whistler offers a variety of floor plan options from studios to five-bedroom apartments. Their floorplan options include 5×5, 4×4, 3×3, 2×2, 1×1 and studio layouts.

At the time of publication in May 2024, rates for 2024 – 2025 at Whistler range from the $1,449 per month to $1,999 per person, per month, depending on unit type. All rates are subject to change. Due to the tier system used by student housing apartments, most apartments raise rates throughout the lease-up season after a certain number of leases are signed. Each floor plan comes fully furnished with GE stainless steel kitchen appliances, living room furniture including a wall-mounted smart TV, bedroom furniture including a personal desk, full-size bed, and full-sized washer and dryer units.
